Community efforts             Eagle Community Credit Union Helping Hands

Eagle takes pride in our community and the cities we serve. Our internal program is called Helping Hands where Eagle team members volunteer their time at at least one event each quarter. Team members are also encouraged to help other organizations close to their heart and are awarded with two Volunteer Time Off days to vounteer as well. Here are some of the organizations and events we've supported through the years.

Academic Scholarships

Each year, Eagle awards scholarships to members pursuing a college degree. To date, we've contributed over $250,000 to students to help further their education. Check back in January for our 2023 scholarship.

Children's miracle network and children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC)

Employees and members actively support the Credit Unions for Kids program benefiting Children's Miracle Network. As a non-profit organization, Children's Miracle Network raises funds for 170 children's hospitals across North America to help children with life-threatening diseases and injuries. CMN in our area supports CHOC, one of the country's premier children's hospitals and does unbelievable work throughout Orange County providing specialized healthcare to sick children. Since 2010 we have participated in the annual CHOC Walk and have had a team of walkers fundraising and walking to raise funds to support the incredible work they do there.

stamp out hunger Food Drive

Since it started, Eagle has been involved with the National Association of Letter Carrier's Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Stamp Out Hunger is the largest one day food drive in the nation occurring the second Saturday each May. In 2007 Eagle began sponsoring the bags that help bring in more food donations in the community. Eagle team members also volunteer their day to hep the letter carriers collect, sort and distribute the food to local food banks. Check out photos from past food drives and from 2018 posted on our Facebook page.
