At the time of this writing, Eagle branches, call center and operations are open for business to assist Eagle members with their financial needs. The credit union is actively monitoring the latest news from Federal, State and Local Government and we will apprise all members of any changing developments to our business via email, website and social media. With that said, I want to be transparent with you regarding some of the actions we are taking to ensure we can serve our members financial needs today, and in the future, as we wait out the COVID-19 pandemic. We have moved as many staff as possible to remote stations to engage social distancing practices. I ask for your patience, as we make the necessary internal changes that may slow our response time in the call center, and other electronic means of communications. We are maintaining the best possible environment in our branches for both member and staff safety using best practice recommendations from the CDC and WHO . We are actively disinfecting high touch surface areas and making hand sanitizer available in our lobbies & back office. If you must visit one of the branches, please adhere to the following requests as recommended by the medical community : • Maintain proper social distancing • Avoid touching surfaces as much as possible • Cover your mouth with your elbow or tissue when coughing or sneezing • If you are sick, please stay home and seek assistance from your physician You may have noticed our recent promotion of Online Banking and the Eagle App services in recent emails and social media posts. We strongly recommend members conduct as many transactions as possible using these channels. Additionally, if you need cash please consider using our COOP ATM network to reduce contact with others. All indications are that for the safety of each of us, maintaining safe social distancing and limiting interactions with others is the best way to slow the spread of this virus and key to limiting the negative impact on our friends and family members. I would also like to caution all our members about an increase in fraud activity. In times like these, fraudsters engage in preying on people’s fears. Reported fraudulent activity has ranged from people impersonating CDC personnel, to internet sites claiming to track COVID-19 cases live, which when you click on the link will immediately download ransomware to your device. Remember, no employee of the credit union will ever ask for your account number, password or other personal information. Please check our website and app for any changes to the credit unions operations on a regular basis. We will make every attempt to provide advance notice of any changes to you as well in advance as possible, however, at this time the situation is very fluid, and we do have to comply with any governmental mandates. We at the credit union hope you & your family stay safe as we all deal with this together, thank you for your membership.
