We are very excited for our Spring Promotions! In
April we celebrate our kids all month. Special
promotions and giveaways will be in our branches so
make sure to come by to check it out. Our Annual Meeting
of the Membership is planned for the end of April on
Wednesday, April 27th. This is an annual event where our
Board of Directors presents our financials from the previous
year and provides some insight on how the Credit Union
is doing overall. I’m looking forward to this year’s Annual
Meeting as it will be my first as CEO. Please join us at our
Lake Forest Branch for light refreshments and to take part in
the meeting that starts at 5pm – after all you are a member
shareholder of Eagle.
On Saturday, May 14th, we are supporting an effort near
and dear to our hearts, the National Association of Letter
Carrier’s Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Eagle Community
Credit Union will once again sponsor bags along with a few
of our financial partners; CO-OP Financial Services and Total
Environmental Management. Your postal carrier will deliver
the bags on Thursday, May 12 th. Fill your bag with non-
perishable canned goods and leave them out on Saturday the
14th and your mail carrier will pick them up. You can also drop
your donations off at any Eagle Branch prior to the 14th.
With graduations just around the corner, May can also mean
it’s time to start thinking about college planning. Eagle
Community Credit Union offers student loans through our
partner Sallie Mae® . We also have a first-time secured credit
card that is perfect for students. If you are, or you know
of a soon-to-be college student, please stop by your local
branch to find out more information. Did you know that
Eagle also has a College Scholarship Program? This year
we increased our scholarship offerings to a total of $12,000!
Three deserving college student members will be chosen.
The scholarships are open to all members. Applications will
be available on Eagle's website starting May 1st. More details
about our College Scholarship Program and how to apply will
be available in May.
We will end the Spring with our annual Pre-Owned Auto
Sale in the parking lot of our Lake Forest Branch the weekend
of June 4 and 5. This is a very popular event and this year
we will have even more quality pre-owned vehicles to
choose from with special pricing and financing just for our
members! Stop by to check it out and enjoy free hotdogs and
refreshments!
To kickoff summer, we are partnering with the Angel’s for
a Postal and Federal Employee Appreciation Game on
Sunday, June 26th. Join us in Anaheim to come watch the
Angel’s take on Oakland. More information on our discounted
tickets will be available at the end of May.
I am excited about our 2nd Quarter here at Eagle. We are
pleased to announce our new CFO is Mary Roberts. Mary
brings 26 years of financial experience and we are excited to
have her be a part of the Eagle family. We have so many great
opportunities ahead! Please stop by and see us soon. And, as
